Last weekend, I learned that there is no tired like the tired you are on your wedding night. It’s a different kind of tired. Mentally, physically and everything in between, flat out TIRED. When our reception ended around 9, (actually early for a wedding but I am not sure how any bride and groom go longer), Zachary and I were exhausted and could not wait to get our PJ’s on, curl up in a comfortable bed and watch Friends for hours. We arrived at The Partridge Inn, only 5 or so minutes from our venue, around 10 PM. We could have parked in Valet but decided to park in the parking deck which was surprisingly close to the lobby and the walking path was STUNNING. Totally a good choice! Entering the lobby, we were greeted by the sweetest staff, we were made aware that our room had been upgraded to pool view, we had been gifted with late checkout, we were given two free breakfast vouchers, two free drink vouchers and a gift bag with mints and water bottles. We decided to wait and explore the hotel the next morning so we grabbed our things out of the truck and headed up to our beautiful room! Our beautiful room that was HUGE. Much more room than you’d typically get in a hotel. The bed was SO comfortable (not just because we were so tired) and the pillows…. almost stole one to bring home. We got a great night’s rest and woke up on our own time thanks to the sun block shades on the window’s. When we were finally up, we opened them to let in the light and were very pleased with the pool view! So much greenery around the pool and bright blue water in the pool. After a few minutes of being up, we left our room and headed for breakfast at P.I.’s Bar and Grill. BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. The buffet had everything you could ever want in a breakfast PLUS a customizable omelet and waffle bar. We had biscuits, bacon, breakfast potatoes, grits, eggs and fruit but there was much more to choose from! We loved it so much that we are planning to go back for lots of breakfast dates after our move back to Augusta. The restaurant IS open to the general public, thank goodness! We enjoyed our meal on the outdoor deck surrounded by lush ferns, soft cushioned couches and fans blowing a spring/breakfast smelling breeze. It was heavenly. For the rest of the morning, we explored the hotel and dipped our feet in the pool. It was the perfect temperature. Around lunch, we ran back up to P.I.’s for Zachary to get a mimosa (or two) and caught a glimpse of the lunch buffet. I thought breakfast was perfect but that lunch may have looked even better! We are going back to try that, as well! I have never been so excited to go BACK to a hotel before. We had a wonderful, memorable, experience at The Partridge Inn and I felt I needed to share a bit of it! If you are going to be visiting the Augusta area for a few night or even just for one, this is the place to stay! You can truly feel it’s rich history and it’s easy to see just how much attention was paid to the detail when this hotel was remodeled. It’s one of a kind!
Please reach out if you have any questions!!
Thank you, Partridge Inn!!
